Pressure Die Casting Tools


At Marigold Rapid, we use our CNC machining service to machine pressure die casting tools, our tools are normally made from H13 tool steel with a Rockwell hardness of 42-48. Special steels are also available upon customer request. Our lead time for making a pressure die casting tool is normally 30 to 40 calendar days depending on the size and complexity of the tool.

Once the pressure die casting tool is built, the parts can becasted quickly and economically. We offer three materialsof casted parts depending on customer requirements:
Aluminum alloy: ADC12, ADC10, A380 and A413.
Zinc alloy: Zinc #3 and Zinc #5.
Magnesium alloy: AZ91D.
After the parts been casted, we can also CNC machine some features or tolerances where cannot be achieved by pressure die casting process directly, using our own CNC machining service.

Our mold tools are usually made from H13 tool steel with a Rockwell hardness of 42-48. Specialty steels are available upon request. 


Die Casted Parts
• Different metals are available for casting. Your choice of materials may depend on cost, weight and performance. Here are some tips:
• Aluminum is ideal for strong, lightweight yet complex geometries. It can also be highly polished. Our alloys include ADC12, A380, ADC10 and A413.
• Zinc is the least expensive but is good for plating. Available alloys are Zinc #3 and #5.
• Magnesium offers the best strength-to-weight ratio for higher performance applications. We offer magnesium alloy AZ91D.

Raw parts coming out from pressure die casting are normally rough and require further CNC machining to get better precision or further surface treatment to improve the looking, below are the most often used post finishing choices for pressure die casted parts.
